Welcome to Troy Oregon Outfitters. Our goal is simple: to provide you with unforgettable outdoor adventures in our favorite place in the world. We feel the most alive when we’re outdoors and sharing in the joy of the canyon. We want you to reel in quality fish, take advantage of our experienced fishing guides, unwind in our cabin, immerse yourself in breathtaking canyon scenery, and have plenty of fun along the way.

My name is Dave Flynn and I discovered the magic of Troy, Oregon when I was in my early twenties. I took a trip on the Wenaha River Trail, stumbled upon the tiny town of Troy, and immediately knew I wanted to be there. The fishing was incredible, and being on the river brought me so much peace. I was drawn to the pace of life and rugged canyons. So I packed up my stuff in La Grande, and moved to Troy.

To sustain my lifestyle and love for fly fishing, I became a guide around Northeast Oregon and also worked on ranches in the area. Over time, a vision took shape—to build something of my own from the cabin I had purchased here. In 2024, that vision became a reality.

With 25 years of guiding experience, I know how to create a memorable day on the water. Whether you’re looking to learn how to cast, or you just want me to point you to the best holes on the river, you can count on an incredible experience.

I feel extremely lucky to have the Grande Ronde and the Wenaha just a stone’s throw away, and to have such a beautiful and serene place to fish.
