About the Wenaha River

The Wenaha river is a tributary of the Grande Ronde River and is designated Wild and Scenic River for its entire length. This river has almost no road access and very few anglers. Native redband rainbow trout are plentiful, and a thriving population of the federally protected bull trout make the Wenaha River one of a few in Oregon where catch-and-release bull trout fishing is allowed. Opportunities for wildlife viewing are endless, with birds of prey, bighorn sheep, deer, elk, and more.
